The show will be held con-currently with the 14th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show at Expo Centre Sharjah.
'We have launched this show after taking into account the strong demand for beauty products in this region,' said Mr. Michael Muller, Director Marketing and Sales of Expo Centre Sharjah. 'Not only are the AGCC countries one of the fastest growing markets for cosmetics, perfumes and personal care products, but, the UAE is also the regional hub for these products, accounting for over 40% of AGCC's imports,' he added.
Total imports of cosmetics, perfumes and personal care products in the AGCC countries is approximately valued at US $ 1.7 billion.
'Elegance 2003 will also enjoy synergies from the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show, which attracts in each of its editions, over 20,000 affluent, fashion conscious visitors, most of whom are ladies. These visitors are also the core target group for high-valued beauty products. In fact, both the shows together will act as a one-stop shop for the complete fashion and beauty requirements of trendy people,' Mr. Muller further pointed.
One of the major participants at Elegance 2003 is Paris Gallery, a well-known market leader in the UAE, with one of the largest range of international brands of luxury and beauty products. Paris Gallery regularly launches the latest products of leading brands of perfumes and cosmetics and their participation at Elegance 2003 will be no exception to this trend. Besides the new launches, Paris Gallery will also conduct demonstrations on hair care, beauty care and body care.
Other participants at Elegance 2003 include Red Earth, a company originally from Australia, which has a global, cosmetic brand by the same name. The company offers a unique concept in color cosmetics - the choice and individuality of a 'boutique' make-up artist range. 'Our stores invite the customer into a colorful playground where we offer the widest choice of shades with technical products which perform according to expectations, ' said a company spokesperson on behalf of Red Earth.
Another participant, Al Nawa Trading are exclusive agents for Farmec S.A. products such as Gerovital, Ecovital, Aslavital and others known world wide for skin and hair care and fragrances. Farmec is one of the largest European companies producing hair & skin care products. Also, Melisa Trading from Turkey, will be unveiling their latest lingerie collections.
At the same time, the 14th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show will continue its tradition of introducing the latest collections in precious jewellery and watches. At the show, the ARY Group, a leading UAE based manufacturer of gold and diamond jewellery will launch Stellamaris, an exotic brand of designer jewellery watches in the region. Designed in Italy and manufactured in Switzerland, the exclusive Stellamaris range integrates the best in design and craftsmanship to present a selection that is aimed at customers who are fashion as well as quality conscious, said a representative of ARY.

The designs combine originality with modernity, catering to the distinctive taste of people in the Arabian Gulf as well as in the international market.
