The change of venue, in response to the success of the Fall/Winter show, will accommodate larger crowds including buyers, media and guests who are expected to attend and experience more than 35 designer collections at this edition. Designers participating are from around GCC & South Asia.

Last season's popular designers including Walid Atallah, Reem Ali Beljafla, HSY, Aly Fawaz, Amal Murad, Salma Khan and Mariam Al Mazro are returning, much to the anticipation of buyers, media and fashionistas and many new collections will also be showcased. Several designers showcasing for the first time at DFW include Furne One, Siddarth Tytler, Michael Cinco & Beenas. Collections will range from couture to prêt à porter.

Concept Events is also calling for entries from up-and-coming designers for this season's Emerging Talent Competition giving winners of the rigorous judging process the opportunity to showcase their collections alongside some of the region's best.

Aldrin Fernandes, Chairman, Concept Group, said:
"The new partnership with the InterContinental Festival City will accommodate the increasing demand from designers and buyers and we're thrilled about the growing profile abroad of both the show and the Middle Eastern fashion scene."

"DFW is now in its 6th edition and is increasingly benefiting from the hard work, international media attention and most importantly the fantastic collections that make it the region's top industry event," said Rohit C Sabikhi, Event Director, Concept Events.

Dubai Fashion Week is the region's flagship fashion trade event and focuses on offering retail buyers, fashion professionals and media an exclusive preview of the season's upcoming collections and trends, thus generating publicity and revenue for the fashion industry.

Following the trade show, Concept Events is expected to host a one-day designer collection showcase, open to members of the public who purchase tickets.

This year's DFW sponsors include L'Oreal, Phillips, Dessange (Paris) and Lamborghini.
