Dubai Trade, the innovative online platform of Dubai World, has stepped up its on-going efforts to expand the range of electronic supply chain services it offers to customers.

A high-level delegation led by Mahmood Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Trade, presented some of the new initiatives to Capt. Arup Gupta, General Manager, Sharaf Logistics LLC, and other officials at the company's office in Jafza South on August 3.

The Dubai Trade team was accompanied by senior officials from DP World, Jafza and Dubai Customs - entities whose entire range of online services are integrated on Dubai Trade website.

The talks were part of Dubai Trade's customer outreach programme designed to energise interaction with customers, and get their feedback on services offered by Dubai Trade, including real-time e-Payment, documentation and Mirsal-2, the innovative online system, that provides real-time access to traditional declaration processing to facilitate procedures through Dubai Customs.

Mahmood Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Trade, said:
"We are extremely encouraged by the exchange of ideas with a leading client of Dubai Trade like Sharaf Logistics. The valuable end-user inputs made by the company will contribute positively to our ceaseless efforts to fine-tune the existing system and add new features that would enhance the user-friendliness of Dubai Trade portal. Our ultimate aim is to elevate Dubai Trade to the position of the most-favoured transaction option for the supply chain industry."

Capt. Arup Gupta, General Manager of Sharaf Logistics LLC, said, "We appreciate Dubai Trade's committed approach to its customer outreach programme, which provides an excellent platform for companies like us to get the most out of the portal. We have found the secure e-payment services an effective way of saving on cost and time, and hope our feedback will help Dubai Trade to come up with newer online solutions."

Dubai Trade's strategy is to position itself as a one-stop online shop for the supply chain industry that would eliminate all paperwork. The portal's integrated solutions have already helped create a vast virtual community of importers and exporters for whom cost and time management is of essence.
