Abdulaziz Al Tamami, Chief Operating Officer of Mobily, said:
"We have committed a large volume of our resources towards satisfying the needs of our customers with increased 3.75G coverage, whether they choose to use a connect card, a mobile phone as a modem, access the Internet directly using the iphone, watch satellite television stations, or just make video calls, whether that at home in the Kingdom or abroad."
The focus of coverage expansion in the Western region so far has been sites that have high volumes of tourism traffic and areas, where new commercial projects and businesses are launching to increase their contribution to the Kingdom's economy.
Mobily has been expanding its 3.75G network aggressively over the past two years and according to accolades from the GSM World Association has the busiest mobile data network on the face of the planet and largest HSPA network in the Middle East.
For customers travelling abroad or making video calls overseas, Mobily has 3G interconnection and roaming agreements with operators in the United States of America, Australia, Canada, Italy, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Britain, among other countries.
