About Visa Jordan Card Services
VJCS began operations in 1999 with a capital of JD3.9m, after a consortium of Jordanian banks and Visa Int. bought the Jordan Payment Services Co, which had been established in 1991 to handle Visa acquiring and transactions processing.

The strategic aim of the new Joint Venture was to expand and improve the acceptance infrastructure, and to support the members' other main objectives. As a consequence of cost efficient co-operation and resource sharing, the growth of Visa Card market in Jordan has been exceptional.
VJCS is not resting on its success, but accelerating the trend towards electronic payments by expanding the POS and ATM network and developing an infrastructure to enable the introduction of smart cards, e-commerce and network banking. We are actively involved in all these projects.
