Optoma is currently positioned as 4th place vendor across the projector market in the Middle East region with a share of 10%, whilst achieving 1st place in the KSA market with 19.5% market share for Q2 in 2009.

The impressive Q2 quarter performance underlines Optoma as one of the leading projector vendors in the region. Optoma has achieved 10.4% market share across the Middle East & Africa market for Q2, doubling its market share figures from Q2 '08.

Optoma's strong, consecutive growth in sales is due to the increase in demand from the local market, specifically in KSA where Optoma is currently positioned in first place leading projector vendor. Optoma is also witnessing particular growth in key sectors including the Education & Hospitality where various tenders are currently being placed.

Since entering the Middle East in 2006, Optoma continues to establish itself as one of the fastest growing regional players achieving continuous growth year on year. Markets across the region grew by just over 55% in the first half of 2008 compared with the first half in 2007; at the same time Optoma's sales grew by 125%. Optoma has since climbed from 6th place DLP vendor in 2007 to 3rd place in the first half of 2008 & 2nd place in Q3 of 2008.
