"We're proud to have one of the largest corporations in the world join us in this year's competition. Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's support strengthens our initiative and message of the importance of creating an inspirational environment to encourage our nation's young minds to constantly challenge themselves and develop their abilities."
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's Managing Director for Government, Parliament, Public Relations and Media Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah said that the Corporation believes that corporate social responsibility has a significant role and is an essential part in the Kuwaiti economy, and that KPC continuously invests in social programs that reflect its philosophy to reach out to society.
He further added, "We have a responsibility to support initiatives like the Kuwait Science Fair that aim to inspire young students to pursue careers in science and math and ignite the imagination of tomorrow's technology visionaries and leaders."
The competition, which is organized by both ExxonMobil Kuwait and Kuwait Energy, is nation-wide and encompasses over 150-high schools from across the country, making it the largest science fair to ever take place in Kuwait. Kuwait Science Fair will hold its final contest in March 2010 where winners will be announced by the competition judges.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in a local high school, and submit all forms requested, which are available on the competition's website in September.
