Viva welcomes Ramadan

In a press conference that looked more of a celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, Viva invited on Tuesday August 18, 2009, members of the Media spectrum to introduce its Ramadan events that will be launched, in the audience of Viva Chief Executive Officer Eng. Najeeb Al-Awadi and Viva guests who will be accompanying Viva Ramadan campaign this year.

On the outset of the event, Hind Al-Nahedh, Viva Public Relations and Communications Manager, welcomed the audience greeted them and delivered sincere words of heartfelt condolences which Viva extends to the families of Al Jahra incident and prayers for blessings to them and recovery to the injured.

She introduced Eng. Najeeb Al-Awadi, Viva CEO who also welcomed them and expressed his appreciation of their collective efforts and noble message similar to Viva's.

He said, 'Together we can achieve our mutual objectives and goals towards the advancement of our society, your support and participation in constructive activities along with our efforts dedicated to creating means and tools capable of meeting needs of our community and envisioning its aspirations and expectations.'

Al-Awadi started his opening remarks by extending his greetings on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan and then reiterated Viva's core values focused on Viva clients' distinction.

He commented, 'We distinguish our clients by delivering the best and the most up to date services and state of the art products while adopting transparency in offering practical yet easy services and solutions.'

Al-Awadi further reaffirmed Viva sense of social responsibility saying:
'We are all to be involved and responsible. In Viva we as always have taken it upon ourselves to direct our efforts towards serving our community. We have initiated several social functions and participated in several humanitarian activities and events. To say the least, we adopt goal driven and positive applications in all our services and offerings.'


With these words Al-Awadi started presenting Viva activities that will be launched in the Holy Month of Ramadan saying, 'Expect daily surprises with fun caring for all family members.'

Al-Awadi pointed to a young person and invited him to stand up beside him and addressed him as: 'Viva Hero' who will accompany the audience throughout the weeks to come. Viva Hero is a young man called Abdallah.

He will attempt to attract the public views on his performance through Viva distinctive and first-of-its- kind in the Arab World Advertising Campaign, which will enable Viva customers to direct the final results through SMS on number '525' or through the interactive link designed for the this event and can be accessed through Viva website.

In the occasion, Al-Nahedh stated that returns of the SMSs will go for Kuwait charity in an attempt to praise the motive behind the participations. She called the customers to participate and interact with Viva Hero starting from next week.

She presented Viva's Ramadan Value Added Services Campaign to be launched during the next week, featuring exclusively developed daily services adding value to the offered services and granting the clients endless options of fun, variety and innovation.

Viva will present Ramadan Bundles of eight new packages offering Islamic, entertainment, infotainment and news sets. Customers will have the option to select their desired packages as an added experience of individual services.

Viva will introduce Ramadan Unlimited Downloading within Viva wap where customers will enjoy the freedom to choose to download as many refreshed contents per day, amongst four packages: audio, video, games & applications and Ramadan greetings.

Viva will also offer Quiz Service via SMS that will bring an enjoyable entertainment experience and promises of many daily gifts and prizes.

Al-Nahedh assured customers, with a new and exclusive service at a well-known TV channel to be announced during this Ramadan.

She called them to benefit from Viva Mobile TV service which allows them to always be in contact with their desired TV programs

Although Al-Awadi has unveiled a number of Viva's Ramadan surprises he concluded by saying, 'There is more still to come that will be launched during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Everyone is welcome to visit Viva branches and website to know more and enjoy the especial services and have endless fun.'
