Leading packaging company announces top appointment

Leading international packaging and processing company Tetra Pak has recently appointed Amar Zahid as its Managing Director of Tetra Pak Saudi Arabia.
The beverage and liquid foods industry in the region has witnessed tremendous growth and development over the last decade and Amar is committed to working very closely with the company's customers to continue this positive trend. "The packaging business in Saudi Arabia is very dynamic, and Tetra Pak has been a very important part of this industry for many years," highlights Amar. "As a company we are very focused on providing our customers with the highest possible level of service along with innovative packaging and processing solutions. This will continue to be our focus, and we will continue to do what is necessary to stay at the forefront of the industry in Saudi Arabia."
Today Tetra Pak Saudi Arabia produces both carton and PET packaging, and recently both of the company's factories in Jeddah's warehouse city were expanded to incorporate the latest technology and provide greater support to its customers around the region. This latest development took the company's overall investment to over SR200 million, allowing it to recruit and train more local manpower resources. A large part of the factories production is being consumed in Saudi Arabia, but the company also exports packaging material to at least 22 countries around the Middle East, Europe & Asia.
It is worth highlighting that Tetra Pak Saudi Arabia is part of the Swedish Tetra Laval Group, the world's leading supplier of processing and packaging solutions for liquid food products. The company has been present in Saudi Arabia since the 1950s and has always regarded the Kingdom as one of its most important markets.
