Oman Air appoints Combo Communications to boost commercial operations in Germany

Oman Air announced recently the appointment of Combo Communications to boost their commercial operations in Germany.

Oman Air operates the first non-stop flights from Germany to Oman. Starting on September, scheduled flights from Frankfurt will start their operation four times a week. Starting on October, Oman Air is offering three weekly flights between Munich and Muscat. Offering an outstanding Business Class product, excellent services and a modern fleet, the airline positions itself as a boutique airline in the premium segment. The PR activities for Oman Air in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be handled by the Munich based PR agency Combo Communications GmbH. PR agencies in France and UK have also been appointed.

Oman Air has major international expansion plans: Starting in October 2009, Oman Air is launching new routes from Muscat to Paris, to Maldives and to Colombo, Sri Lanka. Furthermore a world wide brand campaign for Oman Air is scheduled to commence at the same time.

The PR activities of Combo Communications will be handled by the Senior PR-Consultant Julia Pawelczyk and PR-Consultant Roberto La Pietra in Munich as well as PR-Coordinator Dishna Schwarz based in Frankfurt.

Oman Air's international fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A330-200/300 aircraft. Two ATR 42-500 aircrafts perform domestic schedule and charter operations. During 2010/2011, 3 additional A330-300 will be delivered.

For the route between Germany and Oman, airline jets of the type Airbus A330-200 will operate in a Business and Economy Class configuration. At the beginning of this year, Oman Air unveiled its new, lie-flat Business Class seat, which offers greater levels of comfort that have been compared to other airlines' first class products.

For the future Oman Air has ordered 7 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are scheduled for delivery in 2014. Further information under www.omanair.aero
