Qatargas supports Qatar Paralympic Committee

The cheque was handed over during a ceremony at the committee by Mr. Abdul Moneim Al Sayed, Head of Operations at Public Relations Department of Qatargas, to Mr. Ali Kulai, Member of Board of Directors of the Qatar Paralympic Committee.

Qatargas' contribution to the committee will go towards preparing a multi-purpose sports hall for the athletes who will compete in various games at regional and international levels.

Commenting on Qatargas' support to the Qatar Paralympic Committee, Mr. Ghanim Al-Kuwari, Chief Operating Officer, Administration, Qatargas, said: "We feel proud to offer this support to the committee which has been focused on improving special needs sports in the country. Like able-bodied athletes those that compete at the Paralympics are elite athletes who deserve the support and commitment of the community to help them achieve their sporting goals."

He noted that Qatargas extends support to various sports and recreational programmes in the country as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

he said.

Mr. Kulai of Qatar Paralympic Committee said: "We value the support of Qatargas to the committee in ensuring high standards for paralympic games in the country. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Qatargas management for this gesture which will go a long way in providing sporting facilities for those with special needs."

Members of board of directors and officials of the committee including Mr. Saleh Al Mulla, and Mr. Mohammed Al Dosari also attended the ceremony.
