Translated from Arabic to mean the 'light of Ramadan,' the Nour Ramadan marquee is nestled within the landscaped grounds and overlooks the Arabian Gulf.

The extended tent is elegantly decorated with artifacts culled from Arabian lands and may accommodate up to 250 guests.

Iftar and Sohour diners may sample the evening buffet that showcases a large selection of Arabic delicacies that derive from the culinary worlds of Turkey, Egypt and Iran.

As the sun sets, the traditional Jallab gentleman welcomes the guests with the customary sweet drink made of grapes, rose water, pine nuts and raisins. This year, with more than 30 flavours of shisha to savour - one for every day of Ramadan - specialists will guide the guests expertly through the time-honoured ritual to enjoy the full aromatic experience.

Live performances with oriental harmonies will strike the right balance for the evenings while the dessert offerings will complete the feastings on a sweet note.

For exclusive, intimate gatherings, guest may reserve one of several stylish VIP sections for the evening, each attended by a private host. These special areas may accommodate up to six guests and the resort's dedicated Meetings and Special Events team are on hand to organise any tailor-made corporate celebrations during Iftar or Sohour. Nour Ramadan is open for Iftar and Sohour from sunset until 2 a.m.
