MBRCLD, Duke sign MoU to offer new postgraduate program

Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) has, recently, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Duke - Fuqua School of Business for a joint initiative that will offer a Master of Management Science program to UAE nationals and students from other Arab countries.

The program focuses on developing business skills and subject matter knowledge of participants, enabling them to effectively run government enterprises.

The 12-month program covers various topics in management, including Economics, Financial Accounting, Strategy, Investments and Financial Markets, Marketing Analysis, Decision Models, Supply Chain Management, Integrated Investment Analysis for Public Sector Managers, Problem Analysis, Solutions Design, Institutional Design for Sustainable Development, and Leadership and Development.

Adel Al Shared, Executive Chairman of MBRCLD, said:

Sheppard, Dean and professor of Management, Duke University: The Fuqua School of Business, said, "MBRCLD has been a pillar in the UAE's bid to establish a sustainable and long-term leadership development program. We consider it a privilege to be part of this noble undertaking and help ensure the development of world-class leaders, who will take charge in continuing the socioeconomic development initiatives of the country."

MBRCLD has guaranteed two batches for the Masters of Management Science program; where 85 Arab students from different countries will participate in the first batch. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; who has underscored the critical importance of a highly competent national professional workforce to ensure the country's global sustainability.
