Taj Palace Dubai maintains a steady climb in capturing substantial slice of the inbound travel market generated through tie-up with UAE's major airline players like Emirates and South African Airways. Yannick Poupon, hotel General Manager, is optimistic that Dubai's inbound business will grow in the months to come with resurgence of the current situation in the region. Poupon comments, 'In this travel fair, we hope to acquire a bigger share of the stopover business, in conjunction with the stopover programmes initiated by Emirates Airlines and South African Airways.'
In the hope to explore various alliances with South African travel and trade entities, Taj Palace Dubai will be offering special stay packages along with the airlines tariff, which is very competitive. 'Relatively a new market for us, the growing popularity of Dubai and the UAE as a popular leisure destination, will likely result to increased business from existing customers while attracting new accounts. As you know, Taj Palace Dubai will turn two years in June 2003.'
Poupon adds, 'The hotel industry is extremely enthusiastic and supportive of DTCM's effort to entice stopover travel to Dubai. Our partnership with DTCM will allow us to expand our perspective providing Taj Palace Dubai incessant ability to grow strategically in this very competitive yet cosmopolitan country.'
Yannick Poupon will represent Taj Palace Dubai at the South African Travel Roadshow. The fair will be staged at Johannesburg on April 15th, Durban on April 16th and Cape Town on April 17th. The delegates, with approximately 150 travel agents, tour operators attending, will treat attendees to round table presentations on their various products and services during the roadshow.
