The seminar aims to clarify the role of Cooperative Societies in ensuring abundant food supply, and will also address their economic and social roles, and their support of social cooperation, as well as evaluating consumer needs, spreading awareness, training and consumer education. The seminar also aims to identify SEDD's role in supporting Cooperative Societies and helping to build Sharjah's economy.
Speaking of the seminar, Nawal Askar, Head of the SEDD's Economic and Public Relations department, said:

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, SEDD plays an important role in supporting the work and initiatives of the Sharjah Cooperative Society, facilitating the Association's work and supporting its promotional initiatives"
"The seminar, held in the Holy month of Ramadan, confirms SEDD's responsibility towards consumers. SEDD plays an important role in reducing operational costs for the Sharjah Cooperative Society, enabling it to provide high quality products at reasonable prices, which ensures customer satisfaction and helps drive Sharjah's economic growth," she added.
