The campaign commences with the Al Yusr tent erected for the second year running near Doha's C Ring road (Al Hilal area) and facing the Hisham Bin Mugheir Mosque.

The Al Yusr tent is poised to welcome and accommodate 100 people on a daily basis providing them with Iftar meals, supported by a group of staff volunteers from both Al Yusr Islamic banking service and IBQ.

The tent, organized in collaboration with Sheikh Eid Charitable Association, is one of many other initiatives planned for the holy month.
This year's Do Good Deeds campaign will also see the bank's team members celebrating the yearly awaited festive tradition of Garangao with children and families in Doha. Additionally the bank will embark on a donation drive to various charitable organizations in Qatar.

Hassan Al Mulla, Head of Islamic banking, said:
"We launched the Do Good Deeds Campaign in order to uphold our pledge to better the welfare of our society. This campaign is one of many endeavors championed and sustained by Al Yusr Islamic banking service in keeping with our responsibility as conscious corporate citizens, a fact on which we place very high importance and emphasis."

"We have many other philanthropic activities planned for the rest of the holy month aiming at actively engaging our management and staff and instilling a deep understanding of the significant role we stand by under the flag of social solidarity." added Al Mulla.

The bank's 2008 "Do Good Deeds in the Month of Charity" campaign witnessed great success and was earmarked with a considerable number of volunteers enlisting to lend a helping hand with visits to a number of hospitals across Doha and with donations made to provide necessities to the less privileged.
