- PRESS RELEASE
QNB Al Islami announced the launch of a new campaign to provide customers transferring their salaries to QNB Al Islami with the opportunity to secure double their salary in free Tawlia-based finance with zero profits for the bank on this amount.
During that period, customers opening their salaried account at the Bank will receive their account details immediately and will be able to leave their branches with debit cards and PIN numbers.
In addition, the first 300 customers registering for this service and confirming the transfer of their salaries to their QNB Al Islami accounts will receive Double Their Salary as profit free finance to be utilized at their discretion. The next 700 registering customers will also receive Double their Salary in finance, but will include the Bank's finance fees. All customers eligible for this campaign can repay these amounts in 36 monthly installments.
Tawlia finance provides customers with finance free of obligatory profits for the financing bank. QNB Al Islami was the first bank in Qatar to introduce and launch Tawlia Finance in Qatar in 2008. Tawlia is provided to all customers with the approval of the Bank's Sharia'a Advisory Board.
QNB Al Islami has launched this campaign to give customers additional spending power, at zero profit, especially with the onset of Ramadan and Eid-Al Fitr, and the end of the summer vacations when children and families are preparing to go back to school.
Existing QNB Al Islami customers who already have their salaries transferred directly to their accounts will also be eligible to receive profit-free Tawlia finance during the promotion period if they apply for personal finance worth QR100,000 and above.
Customers receiving approval on their personal finance requisitions will have finance amounts credited to their QNB Al Islami salaried accounts. They can repay this in 36 monthly installments, in addition to their other approved finance repayment structures, if applicable. Eligibility for all finance services are subject to the Bank's standard terms and approval.
Furthermore, all customers transferring their salaries to their QNB Al Islami Accounts will receive a QNB Al Islami-Qatar Airways Co-Branded MasterCard, free for the first year. The QNB Al Islami Co-Branded MasterCard is the fastest and easiest way to earn Q miles, the reward points of Qatar Airways loyalty program, in return for everyday purchases by the card holder.
Eligible customers will also receive a free Cheque book, as well as three complimentary outgoing money transfers for every salaried account opened. By opening a salaried account, all customers will also be entitled to free debit cards and will receive instant enrolment in QNB's internet banking suite EAZYinternet, using which they may complete their banking transactions online.
