Ajman University organizes a ceremony to welcome 1,900 new students

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a welcome ceremony for new students admitted for the first semester of the academic year 2009,2010.

The ceremony, which took place in the Sheikh Zayed Hall for Conferences and Exhibitions at Ajman Campus, was attended by the deans, faculty members and employees of the Deanship of Student Affairs, as well as by the new students and their parents/guardians.

Dr. Abdul Haq Al Basheer Al Nuaimi, Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the students and offered them the greetings of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr Saeed Abdullah Salman, wishing them an enjoyable university life and success in their studies.

Dr. Al Nuaimi also told them that the University provides a unique environment where they can create and explore their talents and develop their skills.

Dr. Al Naimi explained the University's new facilities and services, particularly in the area of technology, which have been developed to meet the requirements of the labor market.

In a question and answer session, Dr. Al Nuaimi spoke regarding study and the registration and withdrawal systems, attendance and extra curricular services.

Afterwards, the students toured the campus and were given orientation on AUST facilities including the clinics, studios, libraries, laboratories, gyms and other services. They then visited their colleges, meeting faculty members and seeing the classrooms, laboratories and other facilities.
