Emirates Hotels and Resorts continues cooperation with Protel

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 31 - 2009 at 11:32
  • PRESS RELEASE

Emirates Hotels and Resorts will shortly open Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa, their new resort in New South Wales, Australia, and their second Emirates 'Sanctuary' Resort besides Al Maha in Dubai, that is running hotel management software by Protel.

When Cap Ternay, Emirate's latest destination that is at the moment being developed in Seychelles, starts with Protel as well, all of Emirate's Sanctuary Resorts will bank on Protel.

With its opening scheduled for October, the last preparations at Australian Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa are well under way. Once again, Emirates Hotels & Resorts relies on the hotel management solutions of German Protel Hotelsoftware. Like Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai, Wolgan Valley is running Protel to individually manage the property while at the same time benefitting from the cross-link to other resorts of the group. Protel at Wolgan Valley is already up and running: the first reservations were entered this week in the reservation office at Sydney as well as in the linked reservation center in Dubai.

Tony Williams, Vice President Resorts & Projects at Emirates Hotels & Resorts, explains, why Protel is Emirate Group's hotelmanagement software of choice - not only at Al Maha, but at Wolgan Valley and Cap Ternay as well: "We are still satisfied with our decision two years ago when we switched the hotel management solution at Al Maha to Protel MPE. Protel's multi-property solution had already come up to expectations at 'The Harbour', our city destination in Dubai, proving to be an absolutely stable and at the same time highly flexible software. Protel has the resources and expertise to smoothly realize and integrate any special developments we needed. My greatest satisfaction is that business relationship is taken seriously, and that we maintain direct communications with the most senior management and development staff at Protel."

Protel PMS is a flexible management system that ensures that each property within Emirates Hotels & Resorts retains its individual service qualities, yet will provide a working environment that includes the front office and central reservation, significantly enhancing co-ordination between them. All properties share centralised data, meaning that there is better coordination between reservations and other departments, even between hotels. Thus, Protel PMS is integral in optimising company-wide information, essential in providing superb service to customers, assisting in relationship management, and integrating data across its range of properties, regardless of location.

Magued Malek, Branch Manager at Protel Hotelsoftware International - Dubai, comments:
"Protel made a great start in the UAE market with a customer like Emirates Hotels and resorts who covers business cases of city and a SPA properties in different part of the globe by using one single PMS database."

Such as other growing chains they profit by joining the centralized environment wherever it is required.
