GAM announces heads of economic planning and development sector

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) recently announced the department heads of the economic planning and development sector, as part of its restructuring and institutional performance development project.

The Deputy Mayor of Amman, Engineer Amer Al Basheer, explained that those chosen by the committee that studied the applications for the vacancies were namely Eng. Muhna Qattan as Head of the Building Licenses Department, Eng. Faleh Al Shamri as Head of the Vocations and Advertising Licenses Department, Eng. Bashar Haddadeen as Head of the Special Projects Department, Eng. Reema 'Owdeh as Head of the Master Plan Department, and Eng. Nuha Qteish as Head of the Planning Department.

During the announcement of the posts, the Advisor of the restructuring and institutional performance development project at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Eng. Ismael Al Usta, gave a presentation about the economic planning and development sector. He explained that the aforementioned departments follow the Executive Director of Economic Development who, in turn, follows the City Deputy Director of Economic Planning and Development.

It is worth mentioning that the economic planning and development sector encompasses the following: long-term planning, short term planning, and economic development.

From another angle, the applicants who met the post requisites underwent tests of their academic qualifications and practical experience, in addition to sitting for personal interviews, in accordance with a previously announced process.

It is important to note that GAM started implementing the practical phases of its restructuring and institutional performance development project last year.
