Through this program Umniah will be hosting a group of foreign students that specialize in different fields to train and work within four of the company's departments including the customer service, marketing, human resources, and finance departments.

Jordanian students and fresh graduates have the opportunity to travel and undergo similar training abroad by applying to the Global Internship Program, which will enable them to develop their professional skills and gain a better understanding of new societies and cultures through training abroad.

Commenting on this step, Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah's CEO, said:
"Our cooperation with AIESEC brings a new angle to our ongoing programs and activities that place the issues of youth and their prospects at the forefront of our interests. This student exchange and leadership program we are participating in provides us with the opportunity to establish direct interaction between our employees and the foreign interns we will be hosting. The Global Internship Program will also give students and new graduates across the Kingdom the opportunity to participate in similar professional training programs in other countries as part of an international internship experience that offers Jordanian youth integrated development opportunities unlike any other in a global learning environment. This unique experience will give them new skills both at the professional and social levels, better preparing them to enter the workforce with both practical experience and the confidence that will carry them towards success."

Ms. Refqa Ghaith, Vice-President of External Relations in AIESEC-Jordan, went on to express her pleasure with this partnership, stating: "By hosting a group of interns as part of our Global Internship Program, Umniah will be supporting our vision in enhancing the capabilities of young people and offering opportunities in new fields that strengthen competitiveness, leadership, hard work, and the thirst for success. This partnership involves the participation of Umniah's highly ambitious and experienced team in graduating an educated and open-minded generation that is capable of leading the process of change that the world is now experiencing."

AIESEC is an international non profit organization headquartered in the Netherlands that offers a platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.

It is the world's largest student-run organization, providing over 7,500 leadership positions globally and delivering over 350 conferences to its membership of over 32,000 students.

In addition to its Jordan based branch, which was founded in 2006, AIESEC's branches are located in over 100 countries, 10 of which are in the Middle East and North Africa.

AIESEC-Jordan runs an exchange program that enables students and recent graduates to live and work in another country, and focuses on leadership in management, world issues and growing markets through its Global Internship Program, which is one of the organization's main training tools.

In 2008, AIESEC celebrated 60 years of activating leadership in young people all around the globe.
