Centrally located in the Mohandessin area in Giza City, the office will showcase the extensive global property portfolio of Hamptons and offer customers an unmatched array of residential and commercial real estate options.

The opening of the Cairo office is in line with the expansion plans for Hamptons in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and follows the company's already strong presence in the United Arab Emirates, with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and in Oman and Morocco.

A spokesperson for Hamptons International said:
"The Middle East and North Africa region continues to be one of the strongest property markets despite the global financial downturn, with reports of continued domestic demand. Several countries in the MENA region have been reported to be less vulnerable to the global crisis and continue to fuel their domestic growth through tourism, manufacturing and other economic drivers. The other economies in the region are also showing signs of economic revival, especially with the property sector bottoming out."

They added: "The opening of our Cairo office will offer customers in Egypt the option of choosing from a diverse portfolio of primary and secondary properties not only within the country but in other regional and international markets. The office will also serve as a hub for overseas Egyptian customers, who can interact on line through www.hamptons-international.ae and make informed property decisions."

The Egyptian property sector has witnessed unprecedented growth over the past years with several regional developers launching world-class master planned communities that continue to gain strong investor response. The Hamptons Cairo office will also provide leasing and property management services for leading properties in the country.

Mr Waled Mohamed Sayed Abdel Hafez, Branch Manager, Hamptons Cairo, said: "As an international property services company, Hamptons is fully equipped to offer customers a broad range of choices. Shortly, the office will also offer valuations and research services."

Hamptons International currently has a global presence in key markets such as the UK, Italy, Morocco, Oman and India, and also markets properties in locations as diverse as the Seychelles, Turkey and Pakistan.

Acquired by Emaar Properties in 2006, Hamptons International headquarters in London and Dubai and through its network of 85 offices world-wide provides customers with a wealth of property opportunities.
