His Excellency Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority stressed on the importance of adopting the structure at this stage in order to achieve the objectives and goals of the Dubai Strategic Plan laid by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Al Murooshid said, "The DHA will continue to work to develop policies, regulations and legislations relating to the health sector, so that we can promote an environment of health and safety for the people of Dubai and visitors alike."
As per the operational structure, the CEO of the Health Policy and Strategy Sector, the Director of the Department of Governance and Internal Audit, the Council of CEO's, the Director of Health Funding, Health Regulation, Medical Education and the Director of Institutional Media and communication will report directly to the Director General.
The Director of Public Health and Safety, the Director of Clinical Audit, the Director of Policy and Strategy as well as the Director of Health Data and Information Analysis department will directly report to the CEO of Health Policy and strategy, who shall report to the Director General.
The council of CEO's will directly report to the Director General. The council will consist of the CEO for Hospital Services Sector, CEO for Clinical Support Services Sector, the CEO of Primary Healthcare sector and the CEO of Institutional Support Services sector.
Al Murooshid said,
"In addition to, developing operational plans for public health and safety , the DHA shall work to develop and modernize legislations relating to the health sector in Dubai. The new structure shall also focus on laying the foundation and criteria for implementing and managing the health information system in Dubai as well as attracting foreign investments and promoting medical tourism. It is our aim to ensure that Dubai's Health Sector occupies a prominent position in this region and in the world."
