He will be responsible for a team of 15 personnel across these departments.
With over 17 years of European based hotel experience coupled with three years at the Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Hotels in Dubai, Senior is well placed to lead the hotel to a profitable position.
He is well reputed for executing responsibilities meticulously and leading all tasks to successful completion.
Commenting on his new appointment, Richard Senior, said:
"I am delighted to be part of the pre-opening team for this exciting new hotel in Dubai. I am very much looking forward to the challenge of directing commercial operations but also thrilled to be able to establish the Media One brand as a new and innovative option in hospitality."
Previously Senior was Director of Business Development of the 4-star Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Hotels, Dubai, where he looked after all aspects of commercial operations. Prior to that, in 2006, he was General Manager for The Holiday Inn Kensington London, where he oversaw all hotel operations.
Senior's sparkling career is dotted with accolades. Between 2002 and 2004, when he was Director of Sales & Marketing for City Inn, Westminster, the hotel was awarded Design Hotel of the Year 2003, followed by the Best New Hotel 2004 and Best Group Hotel 2004/05.
Prior to this, Senior was Director of Sales at London's Royal Garden Hotel, when it was awarded the prestigious AA Five 'Red' Star award, one of only twenty hotels in the UK to hold this honour.
Senior's expertise is founded on his experience working up through the ranks in some of London's luxury landmarks including Radisson SAS Portman, The Westbury, Dukes Hotels and Grosvenor House on Park Lane.
