- PRESS RELEASE
QNB Al Islami, the Islamic banking arm of Qatar National Bank (QNB), will host Garangao event this year at the City Centre Doha.
The activities will be held facing the QNB Branch at the City Center, which overlooks the mall's large courtyard.
QNB Al Islami, which hosts Garangao for children every year at one of its branches, decided to partner with Doha's most popular mall this year to help introduce more young children to this tradition.
Garangao is embedded deep in Qatari culture and continues to gain popularity with the involvement of both Qataris and residents in the celebrations each year.
Known widely as the festival of children, it is celebrated each year on the 14th day of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
QNB Al Islami hosts Garangao each year as part of its broader commitment to active participation in the development of societal harmony and interaction among people of all ages.
Events such as Garangao are also opportunities to celebrate the heritage of Qatar and to pass these time honored traditions to the next generation.
Many of the Bank's employees usually bring their children to these events, making it a good opportunity to build workplace bonds as well.
The Holy Month of Ramadan is also of particular importance to the Bank as QNB Al Islami was established during the Holy Month of Ramadan, in April 2005.
