Bonhams appoints Momentum as their Middle East PR agency

Bonhams has appointed Momentum to develop and execute a Middle East focused public relations programme to raise its profile as a leading fine arts and antiques auction house.
Bonhams, founded in 1793, currently operates in 27 countries and regularly features a sales calendar that runs simultaneously over four continents.
Bonhams is committed to establishing Dubai as a regular feature on this international auction calendar making the Middle East region a key addition to its already extensive global footprint.
• The next Bonhams sale - Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern & South Asian Art - is scheduled for Monday 12th October 2009 at the Royal Ballroom at the One & Only Royal Mirage, Dubai.
• Bonhams' first Middle Eastern based auction was held in Dubai, March 2008 establishing a record breaking event with the sale of a Farhard Moshiri (Iran) which sold for $1.48m.
• Bonhams' Dubai auction calendar now features two sales per year. Bonhams held the first Dubai Auction of Orientalist paintings in May 2009, which resulted in over 70% of paintings sold. Bonhams' next Orientalist Sale will be in April 2010.
• Bonhams is recognized in 57 areas of expertise including Modern and Contemporary Middle East and South Asian Art, Islamic Art and Objects, Antiquities, Jewelry, Orientalist Art (also Old Masters and Classic Cars).
• Matthew Girling, Bonhams Chief Executive for UK, Europe and the Middle East, will be based in Dubai from Monday 14th through to 16th September inclusive, overseeing preparations for the upcoming sale in October.
