The occasion was marked during a recent high profile reception in Surabaya, Indonesia's industrial centre. Held at the Sheraton hotel, the event was attended by 400 local business and industry dignitaries.

"The growing trade links between Indonesia and Dubai will be reinforced as a result of ENOC's arrival," said Hussain Sultan, ENOC Group Chief Executive & Board Member. "ENOC is a Government of Dubai wholly-owed company and reflects its high quality standards and practices in commerce and industry."

Indonesia's lubricants sector is in excess of 680,000 tons per annum, mostly due to a large industrial market segment.

Last month ENOC appointed PT Muhtomas as its Indonesian distributor, following an exclusivity agreement.

"This market offers huge potential, not only because of its high motoring population, but its extensive industrial sector as well," said Khalid Al-Huraimel, Manager Sales & Marketing, ENOC International Sales L.L.C, who represented ENOC at the event.

"We intend to be a major player here, by competing with global brands through intensive marketing and leading-edge trade and consumer promotions."

ENOC lubricants are now on sale in 12 countries across the Middle East, Africa, CIS and Far East as plans to expand to other key Asian countries already exist.

"We plan to shortly launch our products in Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore bringing a Pan Asean approach to our marketing for the benefit of the region as a whole and Indonesia in particular," said Sultan.
