Mr. Abdul Wahab Teffaha, secretary general of AACO said:
"Mr Majali has served on the AACO Executive Committee in 2001 and I am delighted that he will remain a member. He has always been an active member and his contribution in helping AACO to fulfill its objectives in areas such as safety, customer service, human resources development and greater interaction between the members is greatly appreciated by his peers and the industry as a whole."
Gulf Air Chief Executive Mr Samer Majali said: "I am very proud to have been voted into the Committee once again. Like Gulf Air, AACO has a long history and has many achievements to its name as part of its mission to promote cooperation amongst Arab Airlines and serving their common interests. As the competitive landscape within the aviation industry intensifies and the global downturn in passenger and cargo traffic continues, close cooperation and collaboration is even more important."
The Executive Committee is the highest authority in AACO after the AGM. The Executive Committee reports to the AGM on previous year's work and proposes an action plan for the year to follow.
The Arab Air Carriers Organization "AACO", established in 1965 within the framework of the Arab League of States, is the Regional Association of the Arab Airlines who have their homebase in countries members of the Arab League, it currently has 24 airlines as members.
AACO's Mission is to promote cooperation amongst Arab airlines and to serve their common interests through service excellence.
