SEISQUEST is a 91.6 metres long Seismic Vessel, owned by Miss Ellen Forlands Reederei from Norway and is currently under charter by Fugro. The vessel underwent drydocking and repairs in DDW-S during June 2009 and previously in November 2008.
Fugro's recognition was based on their independent observation of significant improvement of safety measures in the yard and the transparency of HSE information provided by DDWS's HSE Department. Fugro's team was impressed by the strong HSE focus established by DDW-S supervisors and appreciated the efficiency of the hazard hunt and safety risk assessment conducted jointly with DDW-S. They were also able to identify several safe acts as repair works were conducted on the vessel.
Mr Alister Buchan, QHSE Advisor Asia Pacific, Fugro-Geoteam, and Mr Bruce Naysmith, Vessel Manager for SEISQUEST, Fugro-Norway Marine Services, said, "Both of us would like to take this opportunity to thank DDW-S and our crew who assisted with the successful and safe drydocking of SEISQUEST."
In response to the award, Mr Denis Welch, CEO of DDW-SEA said,
"Safety is our highest priority, and it will always be. We are glad that our commitments to all the HSE measures in place have formed a significant part of the quality services we promise to our customers. We would like to thank Fugro for the recognition, as this reaffirms the importance of a hazardfree workplace. The safety culture will remain prevalent across all levels among our workforce."
