NACE's support for the international exhibition for the chemicals, petrochemicals, chemical process technology, corrosion control and management industries is a major boost for organisers International Expo-Consults (IEC).

'NACE has a world-wide reputation for promoting standards and quality in the corrosion industry. Its backing is a clear signal this is the only Middle East show for businesses that want to access the demand for regional corrosion technology,' said Mohammed Falaknaz, Vice Chairman, IEC.

'NACE has nearly 60 years experience in developing corrosion prevention and control standards. It is the world's largest organisation committed to the study of corrosion and has over 300 members in the Middle East all of whom will be among our targeted visitors.'

Now in its fifth year Chemtex & Corrosion Middle East 2002 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 12-14.

'NACE has a world-wide reputation for promoting standards and quality in the corrosion industry. The organisation has more than 300 technical committees that research, study and recommend state of the art corrosion technologies to the industry,' said Pradeep Radhakrishna, Chairman of the UAE NACE Chapter.

'Industries and governments across the globe rely on NACE standards for materials preservation and corrosion control information.'

Radhakrishna said the organisation would use the show to promote NACE aims and standards and as a springboard for further involvement in the event. 'We will staff a booth and will be publicising the show among our members,' he said.

NACE's support for Chemtex & Corrosion Middle East will help to ensure that the show maintains its position as the region's leading interactive platform for the exchange of information and ideas on the latest methods of corrosion control and technology.

'Corrosion technology is in demand from the Middle East's developing petrochemical and construction industry which is constantly seeking new ways of combating the effects of a highly saline Arabian Gulf and one of the harshest climates,' said Falaknaz.
