Sunanda Kikla, Managing Director of Oracle Insurance Brokers, a leading UAE full-fledged insurance brokerage firm and financial planning consultancy has introduced the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Mentor program - initiating the first day of training April 16th 2003.
The MDRT program is a peer-to-peer training program where successful insurance brokers undertake to coach and offer assistance to less experienced industry employees.
According to Sunanda Kikla, Managing Director of Oracle Insurance Brokers, and MDRT's United Arab Emirate's chair, "The MDRT training program is an excellent example of companies initiating international life insurance industry standards that will self regulate the insurance industry in the UAE. As we promote best practices in an ethical and socially responsible manner, the MDRT Mentoring program will ensure healthy practices and promote growth of the individual in the whole industry; bringing the international standards in the UAE in line with the highest across the globe".
Due to lack of license requirements of practicing consultants in the UAE, GAMA Mentoring Program will give a neutral ground for all practicing agents to measure their individual practice with the prevailing rules globally.
Mentoring provides counseling, guidance and encouragement to an aspirant by a committed mentor to bring the aspirant to MDRT-level productivity. Mentoring creates a positive outcome for two producers by matching their varying levels of experience and talent to lead the aspirant to long-term financial success, and the mentor to continued and/or greater success and personal satisfaction. Mentoring teaches — in the classic method, requiring open, two-way communication.
