This first phase will connect inspectors and investigation rooms in the select police stations to translators, accessible 24 x 7. The next phase will connect the rest of the police stations in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Traeef and Al Khazna.

Major General Mohamed Al Awadi Al Manhali Acting General Director of Policing Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ permitted that:

"Per the directions from His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, we evaluated the various options we had in respect to leveraging the quality of the investigation process at Abu Dhabi Police through providing investigators with 24x7x365 interpretation services via a video vonference facility, since UAE has a multi-cultural and multi-lingual society. We selected the solution that was proposed to us by AlRowad IT Solutions in partnership with FVC for its uniqueness and strong features."

"I am pleased to see that this project is now operational and I trust that the new system will be of great help and benefit to the policing operations of the General Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ," said Colonel Ali Khalfan Al-Dhaheri, Chairman of the Board of Directors at AlRowad ITS.

"This is another successful project delivered by AlRowad IT Solutions to Abu Dhabi Police in which we introduced one of the leading edge technologies," added Dr. Moh'd A. Radaideh, CEO, AlRowad ITS.

"This project is one of the most interesting use of our (rich media) technology and we are very pleased to be part of this exciting new initiative by Abu Dhabi Police," said K.S. Parag, MD at FVC, Polycom's authorised VAD in the region. "With the advances in the rich media technology, the new systems will allow Abu Dhabi Police to provide real time, high definition access to translators when the need arises."
