Dubai market gains 2%

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) began the week in a bullish mood, but failed three times to crack the resistance level of 1,960 points, closing 1.98% higher at 1,958.17 points. Investors turned again to real estate shares, sending Emaar Properties 6.55% higher to Dhs3.74. Arabtec followed with a profit of 1.37% (ending at Dhs2.95). After surging 33% last week, Shuaa Capital dipped 2.44% lower to Dhs2 on profit booking. Trading volumes increased at the DFM with 350.87m securities changing hands.
