Mr. Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Retail said:
'The student volunteers demonstrated excellent people skills during the opening day and were truly dedicated to the task at hand. They were a great help at informing mall visitors that Reel Cinemas was open and did an excellent job throughout the opening weekend.'
He added: 'The initiative is in line with our commitment to engage UAE youth in key projects as part of their overall learning and development process. Their hands-on participation in the opening of Reel Cinemas will help the students with practical insights on the launch of one of Dubai's premier entertainment destinations, and benefit in developing their careers.'
Khalid Al Nimr, one of the volunteers, said: 'During the opening, we helped to welcome visitors to Reel Cinemas. Our responsibility was to give an overview of Reel Cinemas and enhance public awareness. Opening a cinema was indeed a new and different learning experience for us and we look forward to the opening of the additional screens.'
The eleven students were presented with certificates by Mr. Arif Amiri for their dedication and enthusiastic support during the opening of Reel Cinemas. They were also presented with free passes to some of the other leisure attractions within The Dubai Mall, including Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo and Dubai Ice Rink.
