Organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in conjunction with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), The National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (TANMIA) and Zayed University, Careers UAE is acknowledged by all sectors as the ideal platform that brings prospective employers and job seekers together.
'This fair focuses on the larger issues of employment of national graduates and at the same time contributes to the development of an effective framework for the education and training of the UAE's young people. Career choice and Emiratization of the workforce are central to the future progress of the country,' said Sheikh Nahayan.
Careers UAE 2003 features a full programme of workshops, presentations, discussion groups, industry panels and private interview rooms which will give exhibitors more opportunities to target their message to, and meet with the participants.
'We are confident that Careers this year will help exhibitors seeking out an emiratization deployment to reach out to prospective jobseekers and students and we are positive that young UAE nationals with zeal, talent and requisite skills will find many takers at the event,' said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
He noted that Careers would facilitate the emiratization process and the DWTC as an employer was committed to the employment and professional development of UAE nationals and will be recruiting for immediate vacancies during the event.
'Careers offers students and also gainfully employed professionals with an opportunity to make informed career decisions whether for the immediate openings or for the imminent future,' Mr. bin Fahad remarked. 'Careers puts on display, an enormous variety and scope of rewarding careers as well as training opportunities,' he added.
Opening day for Ladies only
The opening day of Careers 2003 will be reserved for UAE National Ladies only. This measure is to allow National women greater flexibility and convenience to take advantage of the facilities available at the fair. A large number of National women are expected to attend the fair to explore possible employment leads and prospect for future possibilities.
Confirmed and continued large-scale participation from the private, government and semi-government sectors has led to Careers 2003 becoming a trend-setter among shows of this kind, a platform that brings highly-skilled and trained Nationals, both fresh graduates and qualified professionals alike -face-to-face with prospective employers on the look out for a disciplined and highly-trained talent pool.
