- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, September 08 - 2009 at 15:21
- PRESS RELEASE
Lufthansa is expanding its online services at www.lufthansa.com, not only can customers make flight bookings online; starting this 16th September they can obtain any necessary ticket refunds on the Internet, thereby enhancing the customer experience by saving time with easy online access.
Customer convenience is one of Lufthansa's top priorities, hence, ticket cancellations and refunds can now be obtained on the Lufthansa website up to a day before a flight.
The quicklink 'Cancel ticket' directs customers immediately from the Lufthansa homepage to the log-in page of their booking overview. The booking they want cancelled comes up on the screen after customers enter their surname and booking number.
They then click 'Cancel' to delete the booking and subsequently receive an immediate email confirmation. The amount is refunded to their credit card, offering customers a hassle free transaction.
To improve their travel preparations, customers now receive an automated pre-flight email three days prior to their flight, which contains their flight details as well as further flight-relevant information. This includes airport maps and check-in times as well as data on their destinations, such as weather updates, the time zone or public holidays at their destination.
Additionally, a link enables them to check in online as well as obtain information about baggage regulations and entry formalities. The pre-flight information is emailed to the email address entered by customers in their customer profile. The pre-flight email is available in eight different languages.
