Maria Sharapova to launch her own collection by Cole Haan in Saudi Arabia

This collection reflects the vigor and style of the 22-year-old tennis sensation both on and off the court.

With this partnership, Cole Haan will be branching out to the Saudi market, offering fashion forward designs with edgier silhouettes and unique embellishments.

The Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan collection will be directed to young, dynamic Saudi girls as well as young women from around the globe and will include designs suitable for day and night. The collection is characterized by a unique functionality derived from Maria's on-the go- lifestyle.

Maria's international way of life has also inspired the chic collection of handbags and footwear included in this line. Through working with Cole Haan's design team, Maria was able to infuse aspects of her playful personality into the line. Her personal touches can be seen in the details from the buckles of shoes to the chain straps of the bags.

Maria has also subtly stamped her signature by coloring the exterior soles of her footwear in blue- her favorite color.

Highlights of the handbag offering include a small frame clutch, a lambskin hobo, and Maria's signature chain link satchel in a range of eye-catching colors. Each silhouette is characterized by an oversized pleating detail, creating a luxe yet casual feel.

A key attribute of the Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan footwear collection is that it features Nike Air technology. The collection includes a ballet flat, an ankle wrapped stiletto, a flat over-the-knee boot, an ankle bootie and a strappy, platform sandal.

In association with Al Etihad Company, the main distributor of Cole Haan in Saudi Arabia, the Maria Sharapova Collection by Cole Haan, will be available at the Stars Avenue store in Jeddah this Fall and at the Mall of Dhahran as well as Panorama Mall in Riyadh by Spring 2010.
