Three retail stores, branded 'Zoom', have already opened - two at Rashidiya station, and one at the Mall of the Emirates.

'Zoom' marks a new direction in the overall retail strategy of ENOC, which has over two decades of expertise in managing the convenience stores associated with the company's service stations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. In all, 28 Zoom convenience stores will be opened - 18 on the Red Line and 10 on the Green Line.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC Group Chief Executive, said Zoom adds value to Dubai Metro users by offering them on-the-go convenience shopping.

"The Dubai Metro has changed the face of Dubai's traffic infrastructure and is billed to become an increasingly preferred mode of transport. The opening of Zoom, a fresh retail concept, adds to the overall experience."

He added: "With Zoom, we are leveraging our decades of experience in convenience retailing, consistently pushing the boundaries of innovative businesses. Zoom will tap the new Metro user community and we aim to position it as the flagship non-fuel retail brand of the company."

Open from 7 am to 12 am, Zoom stores have a smart design and integrate efficiently with the overall space economy that marks the Metro stations. The stores range in size from 14 sq m to 105 sq m, and offer a range of food and beverages, fresh fruits, magazines & dailies, and other convenience products.

"The defining feature of Zoom stores is their ease of access for Dubai Metro users. We have put in place skilled and friendly retail professionals to make our customers experience 'happy shopping on the move'," Khoory added.

Most of Zoom stores are located in the public area of the Dubai Metro stations, thus offering access for users and residents.
