Mr. Johnny Malek, Orbit's Vice President - Marketing, received the "Superbrands Award 2002" presented by Mr. Marcel Knobil, Chairperson-Brand Council, U.K.

The Brand Council is the independent leading authority on branding in the world. It promotes the discipline of branding and pays tribute to exceptional brands in recognition of their keen insights, sound marketing and communication strategies and for delivering desirable products to consumers.

The Council grants Superbrands or BrandLeader status to brands considered to warrant that award by an independent jury of experts. Different juries exist for different fields of branding and geographical regions to ensure that the most deserving of brands attain the relevant credential. Only brands that score high enough qualify to become Brand Council members.

"We are delighted to be the only brand within the TV and Pay TV industry to win this recognition which confirms Orbit's success as a market leader in its field. We would like to share our success with our subscribers for whom Orbit will remain the pioneering provider of superior Arabic and Western entertainment," commented Johnny Malek, Orbit's Vice President-Marketing.

Orbit has created unprecedented value in the Pay TV market with its new competitive pricing and groundbreaking channels in addition to TVMAX, its Pay-Per- View service now available to all Orbit customers in the Middle East and North Africa.
