Ulrich T. Eckhardt, Managing Director, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, said:
"Christian has worked as a member of senior management across a number of Kempinski properties in Europe since 1997, and was also a part of the task force for the development of banqueting operations at Emirates Palace in 2004. It gives me great pleasure to welcome Christian back to the UAE in a broader capacity, and his exceptional experience will be of great value to our team in Ajman."

Originally from Germany, Wiendieck joined the industry in one of the most challenging departments - Food and Beverage - utilising his background with the completion of his MBA program to work his way up the corporate ladder. In his 12 years with the company Wiendieck has served as the manager of some of the hospitality chain's landmark properties such as Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz.

Wiendieck comes to Ajman from Kempinski Pragelato Village in Italy, where he served as General Manager since August 2008. Commenting on his relocation to Kempinski's Ajman property, Wiendieck said, "The Middle East has firmly established itself as one of the most exciting places to work in the industry at the present moment, and I am very pleased to embark on a whole new chapter of my career in this vibrant region."

Wiendieck brings a passion for gourmet food and beverages, fine architecture and an active lifestyle - including a penchant for skiing and marathon racing - to his new position in the UAE.
