Addressing a press conference on board Bahrain Air's inaugural flight at KKIA here yesterday, Roger Pfund, chief executive of Fursan Travel, said that "this new strategic partnership with Bahrain Air would deliver more choice and value for money for passengers traveling from the Kingdom to Bahrain."
The airline, represented by Fursan as its GSA, will operate two flights on Sunday and one each on Wednesday and Friday, Pfund added.
The inaugural event and press conference inside the aircraft was also attended by Ibrahim A. Alhamer, Bahrain Air managing director, who especially flew into Riyadh from abroad to attend the ceremony. Prominent among those present on this occasion were Ashley Hogan, head of Fursan Change Management; Mohammad Qamar Hassan, chief of Fursan GSA, and Tatiq Al Omar, Bahran Air sales manager besides a number of guests from travel and tourism industry.
In Reply to a question about Fursan - Bahrain Air tie-up, Director Alhamer said:
"Bahrain Air was committed to offer full support to Fursan Travel." Asked about the number of flights, Alhamer said that "Riyadh is the capital of Entire Arab world...We will build up on this and we hope to operate daily Flight from Riyadh in near future."
"Bahrain air will also be operating daily flight From Jeddah to Bahrain in near future," said Alhamer, that Saudi Arabia is a lucrative market.
"Bahrain Air advocates safe and reliable service to customers, while it offers convenient connection to 19 current and future destinations across the region," said Alhamer.
He pointed out that the airline had finalized plans to operate to Bangladesh and Pakistan in near future while it had been playing a major role in linking Bahrain with the destination in the GCC, Levant, Africa and Asia.
