The service also offers a fixed rate for receiving calls and sending SMSs within countries that fall under the Smart Roamer Zone.
The Smart Roamer Service was launched on the 20th of August 2009, and included a number of selected operators within the region that lie within the Smart Roamer Zone, including Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates, Orange in Jordan, Qtel in Qatar, Nawras in Oman, Wataniya in Kuwait, and Turkcell in Turkey.
