Chartered Institute of Marketing Chief Executive to chair Corporate Communications Conference 2009

The First Annual Corporate Communications Conference 2009, the Kingdom's first and only regional Conference focused on meeting the specialized branding, communications and marketing needs of a fast growing economy, is excited to announce the participation of Mr. Roderick Wilkes, the Chief Executive of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom.

The event will be held under the patronage of a high-ranking Government official, this highly prestigious event, which will take place in Bahrain from 27-28 October 2009 is well-poised to attract the largest gathering of Branding, Marketing, Communication, and PR Gurus and thought leaders ever to come together in the region.

Mr. Roderick Wilkes, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, has announced his participation as the Conference Chairman for the Annual Corporate Communications Conference 2009 27 - 28 October 2009, Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Mr. M. A. Sridhar, CEO of the Conference, the announcement of the participation of Mr. Roderick Wilkes marks a significant step in the rapidly evolving Corporate Communications Conference 2009.

Sridhar said, "We are excited to announce the participation of Rod Wilkes and are very pleased to have him lead the Conference proceedings as the Conference Chairman. This further represents a key reassurance that the Conference is attracting international leaders to share their knowledge and expertise with the delegates."

Sridhar added, "His illustrious background in the fields of marketing and branding has positioned him among the leading thinkers in the fields of Marketing and related fields. Rod Wilkes, Hon FCIM, FRSA, FCAM, FCMI, FIoD, Chartered Marketer, has a business career spanning forty years, including marketing and general management experience with GKN, Bridon Group, Ellison Group, Senior Engineering and, latterly, Phoenix Metal Products. No stranger to The Institute, Rod took up his latest role as Chief Executive in January 2007, although he has been a Member for many years and was its Chairman in 1994, which followed the posts of Vice Chairman and Treasurer. He also continues his Trusteeship of The Institute's Benevolent Fund. He has been visiting speaker at Birmingham University, visiting lecturer to Wolverhampton Polytechnic, and an external advisor to Aston University. Rod Wilkes is yet another important reason why delegates should not miss out on the opportunity to attend the Conference."
