Orange Jordan establishes Orange Information Security Operation Center

Orange Jordan has announced the establishment of Orange Information Security Operation Center (OSOC) headed by Tamouh Khauli, designed to provide imperative managed security services, in accordance with international standards and with the capacity to compete with global security centers.

Commenting on this, VP Jordan Telecom Group/Innovations & Chief Information Security Officer, Tamouh Khauli, said:
"The aim behind establishing this strategic center is to provide indispensable information security and protection against data and networks organized cyber hacking attempts, to all sorts of vital economic sectors."


Khauli added saying, "OSOC will serve both private and public sectors alike", where he gave special emphasis to the Center's advanced technological infrastructure and highly competent expertise appointed to offer centrally-managed security and integrated corporate solutions. OSOC will also protect Orange Group information technology networks (ITN) including its infrastructure.

On the Center, CEO Khawam added, "I am very proud to congratulate Jordan for this national achievement knowing that it represents the nucleus for distinguished local Jordanian competencies who were recruited especially for making the vision and the promise a reality" she added "this center is supported by the underlying commitment of France Telecom Group's Chairman Didier Lombard in realization of His Majesty King Abdullah's II vision of transforming Jordan into a technology hub."

Furthermore, OSOC is responsible for providing Orange Enterprise corporate customers with the industry's most comprehensive bouquet of managed secure services in a single-stop-shop starting with the very basic features, all the way up to the most sophisticated secure integrated networking technologies and services. OSOC catalogue addresses real-time network operations and host-level protection including electronic crime scene forensics, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, advanced security solutions, PCI DSS compliance, architectural reviews, secure remediation, storage, disaster recovery, consultancy, virtual-private server solutions, hacking neutralization and prevention and more that contribute to productivity, as well as, organized and effective corporate work.

OSOC is also responsible for all security functions of ITN Infrastructure through safeguarding access and control methods, ensuring that access is granted only to those authorized. Supported by cryptographic authentication measures, vulnerability detection and prevention systems; The Security Operation Center is to define operational security processes and monitor ITN security compliance procedures, non-compliance impacts, policies and standards as well as develop them technically.

During his stretching career with a distinguished record of continuous accomplishments in the United States Mr. Khauli was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Novell USA and topped his career achievements working at the USDOD (United States Department of Defense) with concentration on the development of the Class 3 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
