It recently confirmed its belief that neglect of this matter had previously affected Ajman in a negative way and re-stated its determination to build a better future for the Emirate of Ajman.

In this regard, Olivier Crasson, General Manager of Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited, said, "Research about the specifications of waste water have become widespread these days and the assessment of the impact of waste water components on both health and environment has become important and necessary. This is why we, at Ajman Sewerage, are exerting huge efforts to spread awareness about this matter among all social categories."

He added, "The need to communicate with society and hold mutual discussions about these issues while handling all health and environmental matters in a positive and constructive way has become urgent. This is why the company makes sure that all individual members of society in Ajman are well aware that waste water which is not connected to a developed and comprehensive sewerage system could be the source of many diseases and environmental dangers. This is why the establishment and effective management of a special sewerage system will highly contribute to the protection of the environment and the protection of the community in general against pollution."

Olivier Crasson confirmed also that many countries in the world suffered from the lack of sewerage systems, whereas the Emirate of Ajman had a developed and comprehensive one. Therefore, the residents of this Emirate should take advantage of this service and proceed with connecting their properties to the network as their top priority.

In this framework, Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited calls upon all those residents whose properties are still not connected to the sewerage network to do so as soon as possible in order to reduce pollution impacts and contribute to the protection of both the environment and society, especially now that many illnesses and contagious diseases such as the spread of the H1N1 virus threaten the community.

Furthermore, the failure to connect properties to the sewerage networks will result in major health problems at the level of human society and threaten the environment's ecological balance. This issue is considered a global silent crisis affecting public health and represents the biggest outstanding challenge the world has to face.

Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited was established in accordance with the Sewerage Law on the 1st of May 2002 by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman. This partnership between the Government of Ajman and prominent international experts from the private sector has contributed to the establishment of the first company of its kind and size in the region. Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited will also build, operate and maintain the sewerage network for a period of 27 years.

Together on the path of "Go Green Ajman".
