Especially flown-in acrobats from Europe will perform the feats of incredible skill and imagination during the last four days of the show from September 18 to 21.

The shows are free for all visitors and will be held twice a day at 9.30pm and 11pm during Ramadan and 7.15pm and 8 .45pm during Eid days.

The European acrobats will be coming to Sharjah for their first performance in the country and will mesmerise visitors with their amazing acts.

Ramadan Fair 2009 got under way on August 27, kick-starting a 26-day-long shopping and entertainment festival at Expo Centre Sharjah. It will end on September 21.

The acrobatic, magic and fire shows are prominent among the entertainment activities being organised as part of the Ramadan Fair to make it a truly family event.

The European artistes will present daring and breathtaking feats that combine strength, speed, balancing skills and dexterity to leave visitors in total awe.

The members of the team consist of Miss. Agnieszka, Miss. Domonika, Ms. Julia, Mr. Bojski, magician Tomasz Gidzinski and illusionist Mr. Slawomir Czapka.

Apart from this, other attractions at the show include a Heritage Village, which is drawing huge crowds of visitors. It is providing visitors with glimpses into the past through a display of pottery, and a photo gallery of early Arabian lifestyle.

Important among entertainment activities for children are face painting, balloon twisting, games, special characters, jugglers, stilt walkers and sky dancers. These activities are being held three days a week -- Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Sharjah Health Zone is providing free health check-ups for blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass index. There are also counters of the smoking cessation unit and the infectious diseases awareness unit.

The show also features a workshop for children, which is organised by Sharjah Museum Department, and entertainment activities organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Ramadan Fair, which is featuring more than 150 companies, has already attracted tens of thousands of visitors so far.

The fair is focusing on consumer goods such as household products, furniture and furnishing, home appliances and electronics, food products, fashion garments, footwear, gifts and novelties, gold, diamond and fashion jewellery, and automobiles, among others. There will be special emphasis on digital cameras, watches, mobile phones and computers & accessories.

Visitors can look forward to free admission, free parking, prizes, raffle draws and other entertainment opportunities.

The Ramadan Fair will be open from 8pm to 12.30am, and during Eid holidays from 4.30pm to 10.30pm.

The show is being organised by Expo Centre Sharjah in association with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
