Vodafone Qatar reaches over 100,000 customers

Vodafone Qatar announced today that since the company's launch of services two months ago 100,000 customers have joined to date.

Of these 100,000 customers approximately 50% opened a Freedom account - Vodafone's Postpay-equivalent product. The remaining 50% joined RED - Vodafone's new way to Prepay which was launched earlier this month.

Customers are joining Vodafone in their retail stores located across Qatar and in over 500 partner distribution outlets. Over 30% of all customers joined in Vodafone's Online Store at www.vodafone.com.qa.

"We are thrilled by these amazing results which are exceeding our expectations and targets. We welcome all the many customers who have chosen to join Vodafone and send a big thank you to all Vodafone staff, partners and to our shareholders who have made this enormous success possible,"

said Grahame Maher, Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Qatar.

Since Vodafone's launch, customers have been enjoying innovative services and fantastic promotions including international calls to anywhere in the world for the cost of a local call, free SMS & MMS weekends and 300MB worth of free Mobile Internet.

Vodafone looks forward to bringing a lot more innovation and value to Qatar and will continue to make a world of difference for all the people in Qatar.
