Al Tamimi announces appointment of a new Senior Adviser

Jane Coakley has joined Al Tamimi and Company as a Senior Adviser in the firm's Banking and Finance practice bringing to Al Tamimi and Company unique regulatory knowledge and experience gained over 30 years in blue chip global financial institutions and leading financial regulators.

Commenting on the importance of Coakley's appointment to the firm, particularly during the current climate, Husam Hourani, Head of the firm's Banking & Finance practice said, "As global financial markets show signs of stabilising, we believe that the period ahead presents both opportunities and new challenges for our clients."

"The challenges ahead will include being prepared for more intensive supervision and planning for the impact of changes which will flow from regulatory reforms. Coakley played a pivotal role as a Managing Director in the formative years of the Dubai Financial Services Authority ("DFSA") which is now well established in the DIFC as a credible international regulator.
