"Prepaid Calling Cards (PPCC) offer a very convenient service and can be used anytime and anywhere, from any phone whether it is fixed or mobile,"
said Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
PPCC has a feature that enables customers to store credit in the user's phone and later use it in making calls by simply dialling 155, followed by international code and the number to be called.
"By using prepaid cards, customers are provided with an easy method to budget their calls by having everyone in their household use the card, no matter what phone they are calling from."
Batelco's PPCC can be purchased from supermarkets and cold stores all over the Kingdom of Bahrain and are available as plastic cards in BD1, BD3 and BD5 denominations and additionally with a value of BD10 which is only available as an electronic voucher from EVD distribution points and Quick Serve self-service machines.
Reduced rates apply to all calls made from mobile phones using prepaid calling cards.
The 16 destinations are Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, Pakistan and Philippines.
