Public Prosecution - Dubai launches 6th IAP Regional Conference website

Public Prosecution - Dubai announced today that it has launched a bilingual website of the sixth IAP Conference for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Region, which will be held for the first time in the region in Dubai from October 14th - 16th, 2009.

The website, www.dppevents.ae/ www.dppevents.com , provides full and comprehensive coverage in both English and Arabic of conference activities and events including information on the theme of the event and topics that will be covered.

The website also includes biographies on the speakers and provides site visitors with easy access to press releases and announcements made by the Organizing Committee and related authorities.

Moreover, the website will enable guests to register and file applications to present their papers at the event.

The conference, which will be hosted by Public Prosecution - Dubai, for the first time ever in the region, under the theme "Public Prosecution in the 21st century", will cover several vital issues that are of particular relevance today, such as application and adoption of modern technologies in public prosecution and managing procedural risks.

His Excellency Yousef Hassan Al-Mutawa, Senior Advocate General of Public Prosecution - Dubai and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said:
"The website is a reflection of our commitment to creating a professional and efficient conference that mirrors the reputation and status of the United Arab Emirates. It is also a demonstration of our ongoing efforts to create dialogue on issues that are important to public prosecutors and workers in the legal field. The website will offer conference guests a full suite of services including information on the activities of the event and on Dubai and we expect it to encourage more guests to sign up as speakers."


"The selection of the United Arab Emirates as a venue for the 6th conference of the International Association of Prosecutors underscores the growing importance of this region. This is the first time that the justice sector in the Middle East will witness an event of such scale, where public prosecutors and representatives of judicial authorities gather in Dubai under one roof to discuss ways of improving the standards of ethical behavior, promote the supremacy of the law, and unite in boosting international cooperation in combating crime," he added.

Moreover, an Organizing Committee for the conference was recently formed to supervise the preparations for the event. The committee is headed by His Excellency Yousef Hassan Al-Mutawa, Senior Advocate General, Public Prosecution- Dubai.

Committee members include Advocate General, His Excellency Khalefa Rashid Bin Deemas Al Swaidi as Deputy Chairman, and Members Counselor Sami Salem Al Shamsi, Counselor / Ali Humaid bin Khatim, Counselor Ismail Ali Madani, Mr. Yousuf Ahmad Bin Ghuleita, Mr. Baqer Abdul Wahed Abdullah, Mr. Tareq Ibrahim Al Qassem and Mr. Mustafa Abdul Rahman Shahim, in addition to Mr. Fahmi Ibrahim Abdul Hadi as Internal Coordinator, and Mr. Iyad Sabri Abu Farha as The Committee Secretary and External Coordinator.
